Marouf M. Shweikeh brings over 30 years of distinguished experience in banking and corporate law to our firm. Formerly Chief Legal Officer at Doha Bank, Marouf has built a reputation as one of the region’s leading legal professionals, recognized for his deep expertise and strategic counsel.

He holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from Jordan and a Master’s degree in International Commercial Law from the University of Sussex, UK. Marouf began his career at a top-tier law firm in Jordan, advancing from junior litigation lawyer to partner and serving as a principal external legal advisor to HSBC Jordan.

His career expanded to Bahrain, where he held key roles including legal consultant and High Court of Appeal Judge at the Legislation and Legal Opinion Commission, and Senior Legal Counsel and Secretary to the Board of Directors at the Central Bank of Bahrain.

For over a decade, Marouf served as General Legal Counsel at prominent banks including Mashreq Bank and Al Hilal Bank, providing expert legal and corporate guidance to CEOs and boards of directors. He is known for developing high-performing legal teams and delivering pragmatic solutions tailored to the banking sector’s complex needs.

Marouf’s leadership and expertise have been acknowledged by Legal 500 and other international organizations as among the most influential in the industry.
